New year, new opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses

As of 1 January 2025, the minimum capital requirement for founding a private limited company (ApS) has been halved from DKK 40,000 to DKK 20,000. This change should make it a little easier and more attractive for entrepreneurs to establish new companies.

For existing ApS's, the amendment opens up the possibility to reduce the share capital. However, it is important to ensure that the company continues to have adequate capital resources and complies with the requirements of the Companies Act.

NOTE: The new rules can only be utilised once the Danish Business Authority's IT system has been updated.

At Tvermoes Advokater, we are ready to advise you on how to make the most of the new rules - whether you want to start a new company or optimise your current one.
